Who is Professor Liberty?
Beau Jeffrey Palumbo, otherwise affectionately known as “the obscure social studies teacher” Mr. Palumbo has been in education for over 10 years. He has taught in private as well as public school systems, teaching an array of topics from history to geography, international affairs, economics and government. As the wireless devices began to take over Mr. Palumbo wondered how he might best reach young people hopelessly addicted to online content. During summer break 2016, Mr. Palumbo fumbled through producing his first YouTube lesson on the anniversary of D-Day and the rest they say is history. Professor Liberty was born. Using social media, podcasts, lego animation, pithy comments on other people’s posts, Mr. Palumbo attempts to Educate. Inspire. And Restore.
Educate
The most fundamental purpose and reason for Professor Liberty's existence is education. A republic cannot remain without a knowledgeable and morally upright citizenry. Since power and sovereignty belong to the people, education is the foundation of a democratic government. A person is only as strong as he learned. Throughout all the discussions on politics and culture, the end goal of Professor Liberty remains education.
Inspire
In a world of darkness everyone needs a light. The Ancient Greeks understood the importance of the hero in their society and modern people are no different. Professor Liberty strives to enlighten, inspire and encourage both young and old, but especially the young who continue to to be pummeled by the meaningless void of relativism. There are examples in the past of men and women of courage, honor and integrity and those people should be taught about more in school and at home.
Restore
After 246 years the United States is still standing, but this isn't your grandfather's America. There have been many changes to our government some through constitutional amendment some through subversion in the name of 'tradition'. Here at Professor Liberty we teach through a strong originalist perspective. Learning from the framers of the constitution, we strive to strengthen this republic and restore her to her past glory
